FAQs

  • No, you don’t need to be in any specific shape to start Jiu-Jitsu! Our classes are designed to accommodate all fitness levels, and you’ll naturally build strength, endurance, and flexibility as you train. Whether you’re a complete beginner or already active, our instructors will help you progress at your own pace in a supportive and welcoming environment. The best way to get in shape for Jiu-Jitsu is simply to start training!

  • If you have a Gi (Jiu-Jitsu uniform), then bring it to the Gi sessions. If not, wear athletic clothing like a rash guard or a fitted t-shirt and shorts without pockets. Avoid anything with zippers or loose fabric that could get caught during training. Make sure to bring a water bottle. We also highly recommend always bringing a molded gum shield.

  • No experience is necessary! Our classes are beginner-friendly, and many students start with no martial arts background. Our classes are designed to help you build skills from the ground up no matter what level you’re at.

  • There’s always risk of injury and physical harm in every contact sport, and while Jiu-Jitsu is no exception, safety is our top priority. Our instructors emphasize controlled training, proper technique, and tapping early to avoid injuries. Beginners are taught in a safe, supportive environment to ensure a great experience.

  • Yes! We offer a free trial class so you can experience Jiu-Jitsu firsthand. Just reach out to schedule a session!

  • Not at all! While some of our students love competing, it’s completely optional. Many people train for fitness, self-defense, or just for fun. You can enjoy all the benefits of Jiu-Jitsu without ever stepping into a competition.

  • This depends on your schedule and goals, but we recommend at least 2–3 times per week to see steady progress. Although even once a week is a great way to build consistency. , especially if you’re just starting out.
